Now in its second year, the Davis Polk Leadership Fellowship program provides leadership training, mentorship, and a stipend to six students pursuing projects and activities designed to have a positive impact on the Law School, the legal profession, and the larger community.

SPOTLIGHT: Matthew Trucano Directs 'The Wedding Party'

 

A new adaptation of Bertolt Brecht’s A Respectable Wedding will open at Columbia this weekend as part of a second-year directing project. The play, directed by Matthew Trucano (Directing ‘17) was conceived by Trucano and Ellen Steves (Playwriting ‘17), and written by Steves.

The MFA Acting Class of 2016 to present 'Our Town' and 'Blue Window'

 

The MFA Acting Class of 2016 will present two thesis productions from November 11 to 14 and from November 18 to 21. Ken Rus Schmoll is directing Craig Lucas’s 1987 meditation on connection and loneliness in the big city, Blue Window, and Tyne Rafaeli is directing Thornton Wilder’s seminal American classic, Our Town.

Spotlight: Inés Braun '17 Directs 'Trial by Fire'

It was only recently that Inés Braun was inspired to work in the theater. “In Buenos Aires I was working in a show as an assistant director. This was my first job in the theatre field,” said the MFA candidate. “Even though the play was really very bad, I was thinking the whole time, I want to direct theatre!” PDF
